Not an Ugly Duckling but a Beautiful Cygnet

BEAUTIFUL intentions and good gestures does not always guarantee acceptance from people. Sometimes things go south no matter what we do. S o, you have the feeling that you dont belong? You are trying your best to blend in but its just so difficult. Everyone is different....or maybe you are different. W ith so much memories I have with my mom, one of the fondest I can vividly remember is the bed time story that she would always tell to my younger sister. The story is about the ugly duckling.  As my mom would narrate the story, this ugly duckling is having difficulty with her siblings and friends.  She is ugly and different, at least from their perspective.  She is being teased and sidelined all the time.  They put her down and she lost all her confidence in life.   A s they are growing up, this ugly duckling is becoming different than the rest of her siblings and peers.  Her ugly feathers are developing quite well and her neck...

Excellence is Not an Act

D id you ever excel on some things but fail miserably in other things? If you do, then you are just acting.  Congratulation! You just discovered that you are an actor or actress and you’re good at it.  You take the role of that field where you excel and your acting on it quite fairly.  As long as you keep your position where you’re good at, then you deserve to be recognized as a great artist, a star in that field. H owever, excellence is not an act, it is a habit.  People are getting in the wrong notion that succeeding in certain area of their lives makes them successful and yet they fail miserably in other things.  This is the reason why a lot of so-called successful people are in depression or into drugs or living a double lives because they may have excelled in their profession or career and yet they lost their quest mostly in the most important things in their lives.
