White and Blue

Its 11 o’clock in the morning, the sun is brightly shining, no one should be whining if the winter snow is not happening.  Indeed its a beautiful day!  The sun is up and sky is blue and clouds are no where to be found.  The snow left in the roofs  with a clear blue sky is an excellent combination.  Picture perfect and IG worthy as my mentor would call it.  I can't resist to take a shot with my phone cam.

The winter storm just passed and left a tons of snow and made driving a challenge.  We should be thankful for we survived another day of endless blowing of snow.  Few hours ago, it seems that it never ends yet it did.  Not shown in this picture is the extreme cold alert at minus 15 degrees Celsius with minus 25 degrees wind chill.  It is brutally cold! It is not even officially winter yet but what we have is the temperature suited for deep winter.

Indeed, picture gives us an idea, some form of perspective but it is not the complete scenario.  It is just the outer appearance and we see the picture subjectively.  People living in the tropical countries would think it is very cold but at the same time they have no idea how cold it is.  They may start to envy and covet this experience and want it for themselves, if possible, in the near future.  Though they are living in a paradise, They desire what is ours as much as we desire what is theirs.  They have no idea how cold it is right now but nevertheless they dream a white Christmas just like what is played in the radio.

For us living here in the Northern part of the globe, it is a bit different.  In as much as we are used to the winter and the snow, the extreme cold wind feels like it penetrates the deepest bone marrow even with the best winter coat that we have.    It is just too much.  Even though the weather is extreme, the sun gives so much hope and sky displays a bright beginning for the day.  It is a gift and a beautiful one.  There is a story behind every picture but there is also something to be thankful in every story.  The cold weather as brutal as it seem,  is being lighten up by the bright sky in blue and white snow removes our winter blues every time the wind blows.
